Mild Steel TIG filler rods for welding in DC TIG mode.
A15 is the most commonly used, they are copper coated triple deoxidized mild steel rod that gives sound porosity-free welds on mild and low-alloy steels.
Stainless steel rods are for use in DC TIG mode.
This standard grade is 316L and features a low carbon content and is corrosion resistant, other grades are available.
Aluminium TIG rods are for welding in AC TIG mode.
The most popular grades used are 4043a and 5356, other more specialist grades are available.
4043a grade is a great all-round performing TIG rod and has excellent flow characteristics and penetration thanks to a 5% Silicon content, this can't be anodised.
5356 grade filler rod is for use on alloys where corrosion resistance is important. This grade contains 5% Magnesium and can be anodised after welding.
