Details

An aluminium alloy rod with 5% silicon giving excellent flow characteristics and penetration. Suitable for welding duralumin, cast (LM25) and wrought alloys 6063 (H9), 6061 (H20) and 6082 (H30).

I used three rods on scrap aluminium sheet to make sure my technique was adequate and then welded a patch on an aluminium Land Rover panel to repair galvanic corrosion where the wing joins the steel bulkhead. Works really well and welded nicely. The 4043A rods are fine with Land Rover Birmabright although not perfect, but I was patching with 1050 grade sheet so everything is a compromise and its more forgiving than I expected. The rods are of very high quality and available in very cost effective quantities. Also, importantly, compared with buying a few rods on Amazon or Ebay you know what you are getting and can be confident that they will behave as expected.

I personally use this product for welding Alloy wheel cracks. as *** alloy filler rods ar softer and are less likely to recrack, being more flexible. If you are looking for a first class product for this type of work look no further.
