A general purpose aluminium rods containing 5% magnesium for excellent corrosion resistance and high strength. Suitable for welding magnesium bearing aluminium alloys such as 5251 (N4), 5154 (N5), 5454 (N51) and heat treatable alloys 6063 (H9), 6061 (H20) and 6082 (H30)

I currently use them to weld cast aluminium motor bike engine cases made in the early 80’s and find the filler rod is good to sand / machine leaving a good finish.

I use the product for light fabrications and to carry out general repairs to aluminium. I will recommend these rods to friends and colleagues who need to weld aluminium and are involved in aluminium fabrication. I find these rods very capable, and am very happy with the resulting welds.

The product was used whilst making welding repairs to my Series Land Rover. I do not know anybody who Tig welds so I am not able to recommend the product. The quality of the product is good.
