Used for serious hobby work. Quality at right price from British company is what attracts me with good support - particularly the 3 year RTB. My colleagues and family are the main areas I recommend R-Tech products to. I am very happy with the TIG welder, just need to purchase a Wp9 torch to do some delicate work as the 17 is a little ***

Brilliant little machine as most of my work is in the marine industry and its lite and compact which what i need. Equally as good as the more expensive machines out there.

Hobby metal art

I’m new to tig although i am very experienced in stick, mig and oxy-acet welding. The unit was easy to set up and simple to get started on and seems to be functioning smoothly. Much random scrap is now merged into a large lump of scrap. The machine will be used for fabrication of thin stainless and layered welding on hotspot joints in mass heating systems as well as thin panel work on cars. I am pleased with the results and the relative gentleness of the process. I use a decades old TopWeld stick welder and SIP 150mig and a cut 50 plasma. I’ put the r-tech on top for quality of build and straight portability, it’s very satisfying to use and looks good, mind you he top wild is red with rust so comparing the two is a shade unfair. Until i do critical work with it i can’t comment on finished work but once i feel confident That it will do the job well, based on my various experiments. With a small argon bottle i’d say this is perfect fir someone with mobility in mind and certainly good fir any small workshop. Specs say it can deal with 10mm joints with multiple pass but my need don’t stretch higher the 5mm and this *** just zips the stuff together. I might buy an r-tech plasma unit too, my cut 50 is idiosyncratic and needs replacing for my own sanity, as the style and build quality looks the same. Confidence inspiring.

Very good welder very good value.
