The protective cover keeps shorting . This could be caused by the grub ** . I’m now trying it with the grub screw.

The retaining caps on the Plasma torch don’t like to get too close to other metal object while in use as the tend to *** through to the guide and then need replacing .

This type of spacer does drag a bit more than other types, making it a little difficult to move the torch smoothly. The grub screw/thread is also so fine that after a bit of use, undoing it isn't really an option.
