Ideal for the job. The filter keeps weed from being sucked into the pump without impeding water-flow. My apologies for the late review but we have been doing other things on the lake and have only just got round to testing the pump thououghly

Good product works well. The yellow filter cage has openings that are to large, which is my sole criticism.

Bit unwieldy but works perfectly
