19 May 2023Got this for hobby use mainly on sheet steel up to 5mm with occasional thicker steel, or aluminium. Been thinking of one for a while and finally took the plunge, went for the R tech 30C based on experience with their TIG 170 which I've found to be excellent. It's certainly not the cheapest out there but it does the job, and support is there if you need it. So far it's done all I have asked of it. Genuine clean cuts up to 5mm, edges a bit rougher on 8mm but I'm new to this and put that down to my lack of skill. The maximum thickness I've cut so far is 10mm and that worked but did need a bit of cleaning up, which I can accept for the few times I'll be doing it. If you need to cut thicker stuff you'd probably be better off with the next size up - but this one works on a 13 amp plug..

15 May 2023Most of what I fabricate uses recycled material (generally free) and reducing it to a manageable size had always been a problem, untill the purchase of the P31C. I chose this machine because the supplier seemed give honest specifications (not inflated) and provided several videos answering all the questions I had of the type, plus had been in business long enough to be taken seriously. On receipt of the machine (next day as promised) I was impressd by the overall standard of finish and the consumeables supplied. Having used a much more expensive top of the range machine previously where I worked, before going self emploued, I was expecting to have problems using a basic machine, but at no time has any difficulty been encountered. The P31C saved me something in excess of three hours on the first three jobs it's been used and reduced material *** as well as providing the benifit of being much quieter and free of dust in use. I'd be happy to suggest the P31C to anyone withing to cut material in the size range specified.

What is included with the R-Tech Plasma Machine?
All of our machines include everything to get you welding as quickly as possible, at no additional cost. All you need to do is add your air supply to get going.
All of our Plasma Cutters include the following, in the box, at no additional cost.
- 4.5M Plasma Cutter Torch
- Earth Lead
- Mains Cable
- Air Pressure Regulator
- Owners Manual
- Torch Consumables, Including Tips, Electrodes and Swirl Rings
Additional items such as a Circle Cutting Kit and/or Trolley can be purchased as an optional extra, in the drop down menus.

Will this machine cut Aluminium?
Yes, all R-tech Plasma machines will cut aluminium. It is worth noting that the maximum cut will be reduced to around half when cutting aluminium.

Do I need a separate water/moisture trap to use an R-Tech Plasma Cutter.
All of our machines are fitted with air filters and should not require any additional filtertration to be required. All of our filters are easily accessible and fitted with a moisture trap, this can simply be emptied by pushing the button located at the bottom of the filter.
We do suggest additional filtration where the enviroment maybe quite humid and also in the winter when condensation can build up in the air lines.

What gas do I use to run a plasma cutter?
Plasma cutters run on compressed air. It is important to ensure your compressor is suitable for your machine. Details of the machines air consumption can be found in the tech specs tab.

How Long Will It Take To Get My P31C?
All orders for R-Tech welding equipment received by 3PM will normally be despatched the same day for next day delivery to the UK mainland, UK Isles may take 48hrs.
Once your order has been placed, will will email you an order confirmation, then a despatch confirmation with tracking number so you can track your order. We mainly use DHL who will often provide a 1 hour delivery time to you.
