Steve’s ‘bobbers’ Blog
Steve is a new customer of ours so we said we’d give him a shout out on our blog. Like many, his passions and interests are fulfilled by a love of old bikes. In his own words he is “into all old iron stuff, Brit or Yank”. Judging by his list of old iron it’s clear to see why…”I have a ’66 Triumph running a ’69 Daytona engine, I’m building a ’58 pre-unit T100….as for 4 wheels, I run a ’59 F-100 pick up, low loud and ratty as hell…”

Steve’s blog is a great source of information and has great links to other blogs from people who love their old bikes too. Regular updates to his blog chart the progress he is making on restoring a ’58 (see picture below).
Much of the inspiration behind this and other projects Steve and his comrades are involved in are the American style bobbers, choppers, drag bikes, desert racers, flat track, board track and salt racers. Naturally though they are putting their own spin on things and their creations all have a definite British flavour.

Steve bought a 160Amp DC TIG Welder from us and has been using it for some pipe work and the fabrication of brackets and other miscellaneous bits and pieces. If you have a love of old bikes or have an interest in learning more about pre-1973 machinery like this then head over to his blog and read more.
