The EWM coldArc process makes it possible to braze or weld thin sheets of metal with less heat introduction without spattering. Sheets of metal starting at 0.3 mm thick can be joined together with less heat. Root layers of low and high alloy steel can be welded with outstanding gap bridging capability. ColdArc also allows heat-reduced brazing to take place using zinc-based filler materials that melt at low temperatures (400° C). This welding process is ideal for connecting different metals such as steel and aluminium. EWM ColdArc is used in the car industry, aircraft construction, the aerospace industry, the chemical and food industries, sheet metal processing, the metalworking industry, ventilation and facade construction and the automotive supplier industry.
