Mobile welding with ACE
We’ve been supplying Mick Love with welding machines for a while now so we decided to feature him in one of our blog posts. Interestingly his business, Mobile Welding, shows what can be done with our welders when they are used on the move – a feature we have always been keen to promote.
Ace Mobile Welding is very much customer driven and comes fully equipped with a van carrying MIG, TIG, MMA and oxy-acetylene welding equipment, backed up by a diesel generator when no power is available, so he can cope with most site problems and materials (Mild steel, Stainless steel and Aluminium welding)

What kind of welders are suitable for outdoor work?
Pretty much anything. All ours are generator friendly. I think Mick uses our MMA140m ARC welder for the majority of his work but he has other machines too including one of our big 450amp MIGs. Cheers

Hi I do use the 140 for all my onsite stick welding as I have a 7.5 kva generator to power it but I also use the inv 160 mig for lighter gauge work and the 200 amp tig for any stainless and ali welding. All these perform admirably from either the mains or generator, in the 3 years I have been using them they have had to really graft for me and have never let me down.
Cheers Mick, appreciate that additional information. Ed
