Breathtaking metal sculpture from scrap
I got sent this link from Josh at Brown Dog Welding today about a guy called Edouard Martinet. Now I’m sure we’ve all seen welded and cast metal sculptures before but I have never seen anything like this in my life! This guy takes scrap metal objects from refuse sites and junkyards and salvages parts to create the most exquisite and detailed metalwork I have seen for a very long time.
Regular blog subscribers will know that I sometimes write about artistry in metal as it takes us away from staring at filler rods and butt joints for a few minutes. Check out Edouard’s website which has some great photographs of some of his work. If you can get over the french writing then I think you’ll be impressed with the what this guy can produce out of the stuff that we would normally just throw away.
